Meria — a product house

The good version
wasn’t for sale.

So it got built. Eleven of them now — apps, a chai brand, and a lakeside cafe, all under Meria. Start anywhere.

What I use all day

I dictated most of this site — and most of my work — with Halopen, a macOS dictation app I built because I wanted dictation that never quietly rewrites what I say. It types exactly what you said, in whatever app the cursor is in. When you’re prompting an AI, that turns out to matter more than speed: the words you chose are the context.

Meria is the house behind eleven products — Composed, Halopen, Puana, HookGenius, Brand Cleared, Label Snob, Vibatorial, Order June, SignalDrop, Meria Chai and Cafe Meria — spanning iOS, macOS, the web, consumer goods and hospitality.

Composed, Puana and Label Snob are on the App Store. Halopen ships direct for macOS. Order June runs on iPads at a working cafe counter. Vibatorial is in review with Apple. SignalDrop is on the Mac App Store. Meria Chai is the cafe’s own recipe in a jar. Every one of them started the same way: something that should have been simple wasn’t, and nobody was fixing it.

Behind it

Meria is one house with eleven products in it. They share a design standard, a build process, and a habit of being put in front of real customers before anyone else sees them.

The standard is the same everywhere: build it to the level of the best version that exists, or don’t ship it. That applies to a kiosk screen a customer sees for thirty seconds and to an app someone opens every morning.

Jesse Meria founded Meria. Each product has a first-hand story about why it exists — the short version is always the same: it should have been simple, and it wasn’t.
